Princess Diana’s Letters Up For Auction! They Reveal…

Posted by mattymoe on September 23, 2008

Despite the royal reverence that Princess Diana has been elevated to in the years following her tragic death, private letters to her nanny reveal a woman still plagued with common problems.

The letters, which are set to hit the auction block at the end of the month, convey family concern, insecurity and even pregnancy discomfort, further proving Diana to truly be the People’s Princess.

She was born into an aristocratic family and engaged to Prince Charles when she was 19 in 1981. They married that summer and had two sons together – Princes William and Harry.

The couple divorced in 1996 and in 1997 Diana died tragically alongside then boyfriend Dodi Fayed when their limousine crashed in a Paris tunnel, hassled by pursuing paparazzi.

She left behind a turbulent legacy and became one of the first women to enter celebrity as we know it now. She conducted a great deal of charity work with poise and elegance.

But the letters give us an insight into the person behind the princess.

In the letters written to her nanny, Mary Clarke, she worries about trying to marry off elder sister Sarah and how even Prince Charles was a candidate who fatefully declined. While pregnant with Prince William she laments being so sick that she longs “for the day when I can eventually sit on the loo as to looking over it!” She also confesses her insecurity, fearing that she looks like an “elephant” when she dances.

The letters are a bittersweet reminder of England’s Rose, but we sort of wish they’d just let her rest in peace!

Nanny Fran’s For Equality in Marriage Too

Posted by mattymoe on September 23, 2008

Fran Drescher is busy doing lots of good these days!

She stood up to cancer, was appointed a goodwill diplomat for the U.S. government AND we also learned that she raised lots of money to protect gay marriage in California earlier this month.

Fran and her ex-husband, Peter Marc Jacobson, co-hosted a fundraiser/cocktail party that brought in $40,000 for Love, Honor, Cherish and Equality California, two groups fighting Proposition 8.

Keep up all the good work, Fran!

DMX Stops, Drops, Goes to Emergency Room

Posted by mattymoe on September 23, 2008

DMX is once again inside a facility, but for once it isn’t a jail.

Sources tell us DMX was brought to the emergency room at a hospital in Aventura, Fla. yesterday for “fear of a stroke.”

Since DMX is on a court-appearance-per-week regimen these days, he’s actually scheduled to appear in an Arizona court today.

We don’t think he’ll be making it.

People cover shows Clay Aiken: ‘Yes, I’m gay’; Lindsay Lohan ‘confirms’ to radio show

Posted by mattymoe on September 23, 2008

National Coming Out Day isn’t until Oct. 11, but two of Hollywood’s most-rumored stars — Clay Aiken and Lindsay Lohan — may be observing that rite of passage early today.

Internet reports beginning to circulate now feature a People magazine cover with an October date showing Aiken holding his newborn son, Parker Foster Aiken, underneath the headline “Yes, I’m gay: The ‘Idol’ star opens up about his emotional decision to come out.”

“I cannot raise a child to lie or to hide things,” he’s quoted as saying on the cover.

Representatives from People have not yet returned calls to the Sun-Times. A statement from the magazine, however, was posted at mtv.com, saying only: “We can confirm that Clay Aiken and his son are featured on the next issue of People. For the complete story, please visit http://www.people.com at 7 a.m. [Wednesday].”

Rumors about Aiken’s sexuality have abounded since the singer was runner-up on the second season of “American Idol.” He’s rebuffed direct inquiries by everyone from Kelly Ripa to Diane Sawyer about the topic. Comedian Kathy Griffin habitually refers to him on her reality show in her routines as The Gayken.

Aiken, 29, previously told People: “What do you say [to the question of whether I’m gay]? … It’s like when I was 8. I remember something would get broken in the house, and Mom and Dad would call me in and say, ‘Did you do this?’ Well, it didn’t matter what I said. The only thing they would believe was yes. … People are going to believe what they want.”

Aiken just rejoined the cast of “Spamalot” on Broadway, in a run scheduled through Jan. 4.

In other closet-opening news, many online outlets are reporting that Lindsay Lohan has “confirmed” a lesbian relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson.

Lohan and Ronson rarely have been seen apart for several months, and they too have dodged direct questions about the nature of their relationship.

But Lohan called into the Los Angeles-based radio show “Loveline” last night to comment on the recent fatal plane crash that injured former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and DJ AM. Host Ted Stryker asked Lohan how long she and Lohan had been “going out.”

“Like two years? One year? Five months, two months?” he asked.

Lohan chuckled, then said, “A long, a very long time.”

Stryker ended the conversation by saying, “Well, I hope you stay together. You are a very lovely looking couple.” Lohan thanked him.

Confirmation, it seems, is in the eye (or ear) of the beholder.

Sharon Stone Loses Her Maternal Instinct

Posted by mattymoe on September 23, 2008

A judge has awarded sole physical custody of Sharon Stone’s adopted son to ex hubby Phil Bronstein. Don’t worry though — she still has two other adopted children to fall back on.

Stone had joint custody of 8-year-old Roan. According to an order issued September 12, Stone’s request to have the custody agreement changed was denied. Instead the judge awarded “permanent sole physical custody of the child” to Bronstein.

The judge said this new custody agreement was permanent unless Sharon moves closer to Bronstein in San Francisco, or vice versa.

Sharon adopted Roan with Phil Bronstein when they were still together. Stone has two other adopted boys, Laird and Quinn.

McMahon Oh Man

Posted by mattymoe on September 23, 2008

He’s broke, close to losing his house and recuperating after that whole Emmy/Josh Groban/TV theme song debacle, but Ed McMahon is trying to earn his keep by working on some “secret project.”

Looking lovely in a brown velour track suit, Ed was snapped resting his 85-year-old bones during a break from said “secret project” on Monday.

Can you phone home, if you don’t have one?

R. Kelly Finally Talks In First Post-Trial Interview

Posted by mattymoe on September 17, 2008

R. Kelly finally opens up to some things that we have been waiting for years to hear from him! Thanks for the information Brandy!

“To be honest, I felt like I was in jail the last seven years,” Kelly said of the case. “A lot was taken away from me. … It was hell. I wouldn’t wish it on nobody.” And near the end of the interview — which Kelly seemed to call to a halt after mild exhaustion of the subject — he added: “It’s time for me to move on. I can’t keep answering these questions. If you was charged with something and you were found innocent, then you can’t be found guilty for being found innocent.”

Toure began the proceedings in fawning mode, telling Kelly “your music is amazing” and applying other superlatives. But he eventually started asking some serious questions, like, “How nervous were you about [the trial] not going your way?” Kelly answered, “As hell.”

The following is a transcript of the middle section of the interview dealing with the issues at the center of the trial:

Toure: Let me ask you something real that millions of Americans are thinking about and wondering about you. Do you like teenage girls?
Kelly: When you say teenage, how old are we talking?
Toure: Girls who are teenagers.
Kelly: 19?
Toure: 19 and younger.
Kelly: I have some 19-year-old friends, but I don’t like anybody illegal if that’s what we’re talking about, underage.
Toure: Uh-huh. Some people think that you like underage girls. What do you say to that?
Kelly: Those people don’t know Robert. They don’t know me. I usually don’t get into what people think about me, because all my career — even before the trial — people had their opinions about Robert, you know. That’s probably because, it had a lot to do with me kind of shying away from the crowd, ’cause I’m always in the the studio, digging deep into the basement all the time of my house, creating music. So when people don’t know you, they can’t touch you like they could someone else. They seem to form opinions or have thoughts about you that they like to, you know, think.
Toure: Some of the people who’ve worked with you have said there’s an issue here. Your former manager has said publicly there’s an issue of concern here. Your brother Carey has said there’s an issue of concern here.
Kelly: Issue of concern? What do you mean when you say issue of concern?
Toure: They said that they’re concerned that you like underage girls.
Kelly: Let me put it to you this way, man. It’s unfortunate that people who don’t work for me says that the people that do work for me don’t say that, and the people who don’t work for me were fired. If you have someone work for you and they’re mad ’cause they’re not working for you anymore and used to getting a certain amount of money or a certain amount of fame because they work for you, because you’re famous, and all of a sudden they mess you around and you let them go — anything that comes up about you, they’re gonna run and say, “Yeah, he did that to me! I knew this, too, about him.” But you really can’t, you know — I don’t want you, I want my fans: Do not list to the people that was fired. Don’t even listen to the people that was hired. Listen to the facts, and get into what you think and make your own opinion. If you’re gonna have an opinion about me, have your own opinion of what you think about me. What you definitely don’t do is go by somebody that was fired and mad and pissed off about you because they were fired.
Toure: But your brother Carey was not fired. He’s your brother.
Kelly: He was fired.
Toure: But he’s still your brother.
Kelly: Doesn’t matter. He’s still my brother, but if he’s so my brother [then] why’d he get fired?
Toure: Why did he get fired?
Kelly: I can’t get into that. … Unfortunately, it’s like this: When you’re me, when you’re R. Kelly, everybody wants a piece of you, and if you don’t give ’em a piece they’ll find a way to get a piece of you one way or the other. I’ve been blackmailed a billion times in my career — before the trial, during the trial, after the trial — I’ve been sued for stuff that … ridiculous things, you know. At one point in my life, I was an ATM machine, you know. People would come up and push whatever, and if it don’t come out they’ll go tell somebody this or they’ll go run and say this, run and say that. I’m used to that. I’m, you know — you don’t get used to it. Let me take that back. I’m not used to it, but I’m used to the fact I know people will do this, sometimes even your own family members. I don’t hate no one of ’em, but I know a lot of people will be out to get me ’cause I’m very vulnerable, man, especially during a seven-year trial.
Toure: So there’s no issue here? They’re all wrong, there’s no issue here — that’s what you’re saying?
Kelly: It depends on who you say “they’re all,” and what they’re saying.

When Toure asked if the trial had impacted “the Kelly brand,” the singer replied, “Hopefully in a good way. I was found innocent.”

When asked if he would continue making music in the hyper-sexual style that put him on the top of the charts — that is, would the trial make him hold back on future recordings — Kelly said he would not allow the experience “to affect my gift.” At the top of the interview, he compared himself to Marvin Gaye and Prince as artists who successfully mixed the sexual with loftier subjects in their music. He ended by comparing himself to a firefighter, duty-bound to keep running “into the fire” on behalf of others.

Kelly also mentioned that plans are under way for him to travel to Africa. He said he’s had “a few tour offers” there, but that he hopes to expand the voyage to include “doing things — humanity stuff.”

The final words:

Toure: So this is over, the last time we’re talking about it and this won’t ever happen again — is that what you’re saying?
Kelly: This interview will never happen again.

Wino: It’s My Party, I Won’t Show Up If I Want To

Wino was supposed to celebrate the big 2-5 at the Jazz After Dark Club in Soho London, according to the Sun, but just like one of her many concerts — Ms. Cracky never came.

Posted by mattymoe on September 12, 2008

Beyonce – Stop Sign  (UNRELEASED)

[AUDIO http://h1.ripway.com/MatthewHPNC/beyonce_stop_sign.mp3%5D

Lyrics :

I like to feel so high and
you feel good feeling low
I like my colours vivid
and you paint your colors gone
I like to see the world and you like your week in tone
but I’ve been taining behind while you refused to go

Chorus:
‘Cause you’re such a burden
but you’re the weight above my shoulders
‘Cause even though I’m hurting
it still feels like it’s time I’m growing
When I thought that we’d grow up and grow together the same time
guess I passed you by at that old “Stop” sign
At that old “Stop” sign

You like to sleep all day and I like my minutes
I like trips to the movies you watch TV all night long
I like to go out dancing and you go out just to hang
And I’ve been right beside you losing me and doing the same

Chorus:
‘Cause you’re such a burden
but you’re the weight above my shoulders
‘Cause even though I’m hurting
it still feels like it’s time I’m growing
When I thought that we’d grow up and grow together the same time
guess I passed you by at that old “Stop” sign
At that old “Stop” sign

I looked around and baby you were gone
Where did I lost you honey
I even slow down thought you’d fall low
But you took your own roads honey
‘Cause I’ve been traveling traveling traveling
no lead to find you
I’m making this trip alone
And I’ve been staying behind while you refused to go

Chorus:
‘Cause you’re such a burden
but you’re the weight above my shoulders
‘Cause even though I’m hurting
it still feels like it’s time I’m growing
When I thought that we’d grow up and grow together the same time
guess I passed you by at that old “Stop” sign
At that old “Stop” sign

Kim K Hauls Ass in 90210

It happened in Bev Hills, when Kim was going from “Dancing With the Stars” rehearsal to her home to shoot the even lamer “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” She took it like a man, not even arguing with the officer who cited her for speeding as well as driving with tinted windows.

How the Kanye Arrest Went Down

Posted by mattymoe on September 11, 2008

Erik, TMZ cameraman, is on his way back to our offices now, after being interviewed by LAX Police. Here’s what happened that led to Kanye West’s vandalism arrest at LAX.

Erik says he was at Terminal 4 (American Airlines) when he noticed a still photog taking several pictures of Kanye West. Erik says West rushed the photog and grabbed his camera. A struggle ensued and the still guy was screaming, “Police, help!” Erik says Kanye then took the still camera and threw it on the ground, breaking it into pieces. (Click here to see the video)

Erik then went over to Kanye, his camera rolling, when Kanye’s bodyguard walked up to him, realized Erik was taping, and said, “Give me the camera, give me the camera.” Erik responded that he had a press pass and had a right to shoot. The assistant then grabbed the camera, ripped off the mic and viewfinder and smashed it to the ground.

Erik says Kanye then tried to leave to board his plane, but cops stopped him before he got to security. The cops then interviewed Erik, the still photog, Kanye and his assistant..

This is where it gets crazy. The cops asked Erik if he videotaped the incident and Erik said he had. That’s when Kanye lunged toward him and said, “Give me the fu***ng videotape.” Cops had to restrain Kanye as he tried coming at Erik.

The videotape is on its way back to our offices. We will post shortly.

N’Sync to Make Comeback????

Posted by mattymoe on September 10, 2008

With the surprising success the New Kids on the Block have had with their reunion, we joked earlier this month that N’Sync might try for a comeback too.

And it looks like that might be happening!

Former boy band member Lance Bass gave some hints during a recent interview.

He didn’t confirm the news 100%, but he did say that “the odds were good” for an N’Sync reunion.

It’s not like Justin Timberlake needs to do it, but you know those other hasbeens are dying for a comeback!

Bass said, “We’re definitely itching to do some music. We’ve always discussed it. It’s always a possibility and we still owe some records to the record companies. I’m serious!”

As for the real star of the group, Bass says, the groups is “pretty serious, [but] it’s gonna be hard to get Justin to calm down and get off tour. He has not stopped since our last tour. He’s a workaholic.”

And just how quickly could we expect a reunion tour?

Princess Frostylocks says it could be as quick as next year.

He adds, “It could be possibly a year, it could be five years from now. Depends on everyone’s schedules kind of aligning together.”

And this time they’re gonna do things differently, he promises.

Says P.F., “We’ll do it on our own time. We’re going to make it very organic and it won’t be rushed, that’s for sure!”

And with nothing else to say about the possible reunion, the media-loving Bass went on to talk about how he supported Christina Applegate during her recent treatment for breast cancer.

The two have apparently been friends since first meeting in 2002 at the premier of Applegate’s The Sweetest Thing.

He says, “It was nice to be there for her. She went through it like a champ, and came out of it very positive and totally successful. I think it’s amazing that she’s going to go out there and try to help other women. She’s definitely been through all the good and bad times with me, and I definitely [have] been there for her,” he added. “It’s nice to have a friend like that.”

Enough about that.

So, the real question is, are U still interested in N’Sync?

Elephant Beats Heroin Addiction With Rehab

Posted by mattymoe on September 9, 2008

BEIJING, China — Chinese state media say an Asian elephant that became addicted to heroin at the hands of illegal traders will return home after a three-year rehab program.

Xiguang, a 4-year-old male Asian elephant, became addicted after he was captured by smugglers along the Chinese-Myanmar border in March 2005. The official Xinhua News Agency says the traders fed the elephant bananas laced with heroin as bait and to pacify the creature.

When Xiguang was found two months later along with six other captured elephants in China’s southwest, he was suffering from withdrawal and was sent to a protection center in China’s tropical Hainan island.

Xinhua said Thursday that Xiguang received daily methadone injections in doses five times larger than those given to a human and had fully recovered.

Coleman Strikes Man at Bowling Alley with Car

Posted by mattymoe on September 7, 2008

Gary Coleman blasted a man with his car yesterday after he and the victim allegedly argued inside a bowling alley — and both sides are telling completely different stories as to what really went down.

Coleman’s bodyguard told KABC that 24-year-old Colt Rushton approached Gary and his wife late Friday night at a Payson, Utah 10-pin and asked to snap a cell phone photo of the “Diff’rent Strokes” star. After Gary said no, Rushton continued to harass Gary — and was eventually hit by Gary’s truck after darting behind it while Coleman was leaving at around midnight.

Rushton’s more violent side of the story goes like this: He says Gary’s wife snatched his cell phone from him, and Coleman threw several punches at him before getting behind the wheel. Colt said he was trying to get his cell phone back when Gary threw his truck into gear and backed into him, knocking him to the ground.

Colt was treated and released from a local hospital. Coleman also hit another car.

No arrests or citations were given but police say alcohol may be a factor. It’s still under investigation.

Brit’s Mom Didn’t Spill Beans

Posted by mattymoe on September 7, 2008

More on Lynne Spears so-called “tell all” book about Britney. Lynne supposedly says a few days before Brit went completely mental, Sam Lutfi said, “If you try to get rid of me, she’ll be dead and I’ll piss on her grave.”

Here’s the deal. That story has already been told and, by the way, it’s true. Lutfi even told us what he meant was that no one cared about Britney and she’d be dead without him. And, for the record, we never bought Lufti’s story.

As for the London Sun getting an advanced copy of Lynne Spears’ book — something’s rotten in Denmark. The Sun has said the book claims Britney lost her virginity at 14 and started taking drugs at 15, etc. etc. We’re told none of that appears in the book and it’s more about Lynne being a heroic mom. For the record, we’re not buying that either!
