Bill Melendez, the voice of Snoopy and the animator mostly responsible for all the Peanuts cartoons, passed away on Tuesday.
He was 91 years old.

You might not know this guy by sight, but you certainly would by voice. Four words: “In a world where …”
Don LaFontaine, the guy who was the voice of more than 5,000 trailers and nearly 350,000 commercials, died yesterday at 68. And irony of all ironies, the man with the so-called “Voice of God” died of lung disease — complications from a collapsed lung.
LaFontaine’s last and perhaps best known work was parodying himself in an ad for Geico.

Over 200 mourners turned out Friday for the funeral of Andre Young, Jr. — the son of Grammy-winning rapper Dr. Dre.
The funeral took place in Glendale, Calif at The Church of the Recessional.
Young, 20, was found dead last Saturday by his mother at their home.

According to multiple reports (here and here), Dr. Dre‘s son passed away this weekend.
The body of 20-year-old Andre Young Jr. was allegedly found at his family’s Woodland Hills, California, home Saturday morning.
Young Jr. was unresponsive when his mother went to check on him around 10 A.M., calling 911 to alert paramedics.
Andre was said to have been out the previous night and returned home at 5.30 A.M.
Young Jr.’s cause of death is unknown at this time. Officials are awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination, including a toxicology report.
Our condolences and thoughts to Dr. Dre and his family during this difficult time.

Authorities say that music legend Isaac Hayes died of a stroke in Memphis, TN on Sunday.
Paperwork filed by Hayes’ family physician, Dr. David Kraus, lists the cause of death as a stroke.
However, it was also reported that no autopsy had been performed.
No official determination has been released by the medical examiner’s office or filed with the Memphis health department, which issues death certificates.
Hayes’ family members said the music man was under a doctor’s care but did not give specifics.

Anthony Hart, Carey Hart’s brother, died yesterday after wrecking his motorcycle at Stafford Motor Speedway in Connecticut.
Hart, 21, crashed during a practice session for the Doug Henry New England Grand Prix, which is part of the American Motorcyclist Association’s XTRM Supermoto Championship series.
Carey and Pink separated earlier this year.
