Ed McMahon — S.O.L. Again

Posted by mattymoe on August 31, 2008

We’ve confirmed the guy who went into escrow to buy Ed McMahon’s house has pulled out of the deal.

We’re told the buyer never came up with any cash … which means the whole thing sounds phony. The escrow was opened without a deposit, but the buyer never put his money where his mouth was.

So that leaves Ed with no place to live if the house does go into foreclosure … which again leads to the doorstep of Donald Trump. Trump has said he’d step in again and buy the house and lease it back to Ed for life. Our sources say Donald has offered a low ball offer already, but that’s it.

We’re told Trump has had discussions with Ed’s realtor, Alex Davis, since the deal fell apart last Thursday. Will Donald save the day or is this a publicity stunt? We know the stumbling block with Trump is price — he hasn’t offered what Ed wants/needs to get the monkeys off his back.

Posted by mattymoe on August 30, 2008

If you ever think Amy Winehouse is going to show up where she is supposed to, well then you deserve to be disappointed.

Wino was scheduled to perform at the Rock En Seine festival in Paris last night — but didn’t show “due to illness,” according to a spokesman.

We’d wish Amy a speedy recovery, but what’s the point?

Northcutt’s Ex-GF…Pre-Beatdown

Posted by mattymoe on August 30, 2008

Sharri Henry (far left) claims NFL star Dennis Northcutt (right) had his cousin beat her up after an NFL party they both attended back in May — allegedly because Henry wouldn’t get an abortion (Northcutt is the probable baby daddy).

Now check out the pic on the left of Henry just moments before she was allegedly brutalized. The pic on the right was taken at the same party, also just before the attack. It shows Northcutt with his extremely hot new GF at the time. Some people who were at the party tell us when Henry saw her ex with the new chick, she went after him with all the ferocity of a scorned woman.

Henry is now seven months pregnant. She’s suing Northcutt over the attack.

Edwards Scores Big Wad

Posted by mattymoe on August 30, 2008

Best story of the day … former Prez candidate John Edwards proves there no such thing as bad publicity, because it’s making him even richer.

It seemed like only yesterday Edwards admitted he was cheating on his cancer-stricken wife — right, it was — and his fee for speaking engagements is already going sky high.

Edwards is scheduled to speak at the University of Illinois’ Urbana campus in mid-October. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Edwards will rake in $65,000 for the chat. But the paper reports Edwards’ agent told a University official Edwards wants to book more engagements and charge more than the pre-Beverly Hilton rate.

In 2006, Edwards was paid a measly $55,000 to speak at UC Davis … on poverty.

Fashion Disaster Of The Day: Katie Holmes

Posted by mattymoe on August 29, 2008

Katie Holmes looks like she took a cue from The Sound of Music or Gone With the Wind and used some upholstery fabric to fashion a shirt.  I think Tom Cruise might have taken it off my grandma’s old couch, if I’m not mistaken, and forced her to do it.  If the material has gotten to be too much for Grams, chances are it’s just not a good choice for apparel either.

That sweater doesn’t help the outfit.  Tan and yellow do not go together in my book.  But, at least she is wearing skinny jeans today instead of tight-rolling Tom’s.  It could always be worse, my friends.

McCain’s VP Pick; Gov. Sarah Palin

Posted by mattymoe on August 29, 2008

John McCain tossed a huge but risky surprise into the US race for the White House Friday when he unveiled the little-known governor from Alaska, Sarah Palin, as his vice presidential running mate.

The choice of the 44-year-old mother of five only two years into her first term running the oil-rich far northwest state, and with virtually no national political experience , was seen as a blatant bid to win over disgruntled supporters of failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

But McCain, who presented Palin to the public at a midday rally here in Dayton, painted her as a talented and determined manager and an anti-corruption campaigner with impeccable conservative credentials.

“She’s got the grit, integrity, good sense, and fierce devotion to the common good that is exactly what we need in Washington today,” McCain said.

“She stands up for what’s right and she doesn’t let anyone tell her to sit down. She’s fought oil companies and party bosses and do-nothing bureaucrats, and anyone who puts their interests before the people of whom she swore an oath to serve.”

The timing of the announcement was clearly designed to capture the attention away from the triumphant speech Thursday night by McCain’s Democratic rival, Barack Obama, as he accepted his party’s presidential nomination in front of 84,000 giddy supporters who had packed into a Denver sports stadium.

It came just days before the September 1-4 Republican convention in St. Paul, Minnesota, where McCain officially will be made the party’s nominee for the White House in the November 4 election.

Palin could appeal to the Republican’s grassroots conservative base, as she is strongly opposed to abortion and backs the powerful gun lobby.

She would help McCain maintain his image as a Republican party maverick: she gained popularity as a rebel crusading against corruption among fellow Alaskan Republicans.

And she could balance out concerns over the age of McCain, who celebrated his 72nd birthday on Friday.

But unlike Clinton — the former first lady who Obama defeated in the Democratic primary nominating race — Palin has no national experience and has governed Alaska for just two years.

Obama and his vice presidential choice Senator Joe Biden quickly issued a statement calling Palin “an admirable person” who “will add a compelling new voice to this campaign.”

But at the same time, Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton taunted the Republicans over Palin’s experience.

“Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency,” Burton said in a statement.

The McCain campaign immediately countered that Palin, as governor of Alaska, has a deep knowledge of energy issues, a key issue for an electorate hammered by high oil prices and other economic woes.

Palin “knows what it’s like to worry about mortgage payments and health care and the cost of gasoline and groceries,” McCain said.

“She leads a state that matters to every one of us — Alaska has significant energy resources and she has been a leader in the fight to make America energy independent,” he said.

The choice of Palin, who becomes only the second woman ever to join a major-party ticket for the presidency — Geraldine Ferraro was Democrat Walter Mondale‘s running mate in 1984 — immediately brought cheers from Republican leaders and conservatives who had been wary of McCain’s more centrist politics.

“By selecting a working mother with a track record of getting things done, Senator McCain has once again demonstrated his commitment to reforming Washington,” President George W. Bush said in a statement after calling Palin to wish her luck.

The influential conservative lobby the Family Research Council called Palin “an outstanding pick from the choices that were on the table.”

Governor Sarah Palin is an outspoken advocate for pro-family policies that energize social conservatives,” FRC head Tony Perkins said in a statement.

But political analysts said McCain’s choice, rejecting a shortlist of well-known politicians like former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, independent Senator Joe Lieberman and Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, was a chancy move.

Former Republican Presidential Candidate, Pat Buchanan, called the pick the “biggest political gamble in American political history.”

“It clearly makes it more difficult for McCain to criticize Obama’s experience,” said Professor Tom Baldino of Wilkes University, Pennsylvania.

Whats In The News About Michael Jackson

Posted by mattymoe on August 29, 2008

Michael Jackson marked a personal milestone Friday: his 50th birthday.

The 13-time Grammy winner, who has sold more than 750 million albums, told ABC News’ “Good Morning America” that he’s “looking forward to doing a lot of great things. … I think the best is yet to come in my true humble opinion.”

Jackson talked to ABC by phone Thursday.

“People see some of the things I do and they say, `Why don’t you show this to the world? People don’t know you do these things.’ And maybe I will,” he said.

Jackson said recording the blockbuster albums “Thriller” and “Off the Wall” were the happiest times of his life.

“That meant very much to me and seemed to be received so beautifully by the public and the world. You know, I enjoyed it very much,” he said.

As for his birthday plans, “I’ll just have a little cake with my children and we’ll probably watch some cartoons,” he said.

Jackson, a twice-divorced father of three, said he aims to provide a normal life for his children.

“I am letting them enjoy their childhood as much as possible. … I let them go to the arcade and go to the movies and do things. I think that comes naturally. I want them to get to do things I didn’t get to do,” he said.

“I get pretty emotional when I see them having a wonderful time,” he said.

Jackson was asked if he had received a membership card from AARP, which focuses on the needs and concerns of those 50 and older.

“Not that I know of!” he said, laughing.

By the looks of the ring on her left hand, Halle Berry’s days as an unwed mother may be numbered.

Halle showed off her accessorized limb after lunching in L.A. on Thursday.

After two failed marriages, Halle has publicly said she would not make another trip down the aisle. Then again she’d be crazy not to make an honest man out of her gorgeous baby daddy Gabriel Aubry.

Posted by mattymoe on August 28, 2008

It was only a matter of time before the pathetic and money-hungry famewhore got his wish!

Michael Lohan is determined to show y’all “the truth” about Dina Lohan and how she was responsible for his attack on LezLo‘s love, saMAN Ronson.

According to TV Guide, a TV company’s crafting a show around Michael telling all!

Daddy Lohan said to the pub,

I’m going to do a one-hour special. Everyone is going to hear everything for themselves. They’re going to hear everything Dina has to say. I have it all on tape — all recorded, time and date-stamped. You will hear it all. I have 101 text messages between Lindsay and I, and I have about 60 tape recordings of Dina…These lies have to stop. She can’t say all these things to me and when I try to address it, deny everything. Dina’s a hypocrite and I’m tired of it.”

He’s f’n CRAZY!!!!!!!

Michael says the show’s “definitely” happening but because of contractual obligations he can’t disclose too much detail.

But, he did mention that it could be broken up into a multi-part series.

We think one episode would be MORE than enough!

We also think he’s full of shit crap!

Governor Barkely???

Posted by mattymoe on August 28, 2008

Charles Barkley wants to come out of retirement. Sorta.

The former basketball star is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Barkley was one of the dozens of celebrities this week at the Democratic National Convention. There, he spoke of his hopes of becoming more involved in politics and even running for governor.

The 45 year-old Alabama native said, “I’m planning to run for governor of Alabama. I have to live there for seven years. I bought my house there last year. I have homes in Arizona and Pennsylvania, but Alabama needs more help.”

And just what type of help can Barkley provide?

And with what experience???

Federline Takes Ex to Vegas

Posted by mattymoe on August 27, 2008

Kevin Federline has sparked reports he’s back with his ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson after he took her to Las Vegas for a birthday weekend.

Federline split from Jackson, the mother of two of the rapper/dancer’s kids, to romance ex-wife Spears. But now it looks as if the former lovers are an item again.

Federline and Jackson were spotted enjoying each other’s company on Friday afternoon in a private cabana at Tao Beach, before partying at Sin City’s Prive nightclub on Friday night.

According to Hollyscoop.com, Federline even “went to the club’s DJ booth to publicly wish Shar a happy birthday.”

A source says, “Shar joined Kevin in the DJ booth, where he proceeded to sing along on the microphone to ‘Put on’ by Young Jeezy and ‘Welcome to Jamrock’ by Damien Marley.”

Fashion Disaster Of The Day: Solange Knowles

Posted by mattymoe on August 27, 2008

Poor baby Solange Knowles. You know Momma Tina Knowles only designs the good stuff for her baby Beyonce. Okay, so Tina doesn’t really do shoes but I still like to assume any fashion faux pas by one her daughters is her fault since she is their stylist or whatever.

Solange actually looks cute for MTV’s TRL until you hit her ankles, and then all hairy hell breaks loose. I’m not exactly sure what she was going for with those shoes/slippers/sasquatch feet, and I’m pretty sure we will never know.

Screw momma Tina. I bet Beyonce told her to wear them. Bitch will not be selling more albums than her and she is going to make sure of it!

DMX Is Getting the F Out of Florida

Posted by mattymoe on August 27, 2008

Even though he dropped an F-bomb on a Miami judge yesterday, DMX can finally get into all the sh&t he wants — for now.

We’re told his lawyer, former “Apprentice” could-a-been turned miracle worker Bradford Cohen, just worked out a plea deal with the judge: time served and about a $483 fine. D could’ve faced up to six years on the trying-to-score coke and pot charges, to which he plead guilty.

We’re also told AZ lawmen have 15 days to collar him for all his eight zillion arrests there. If they don’t, he’s home free … until the next time he gets arrested, which should be …

I’m told the deal is as good as sealed to have MJ present an award with sister Janet.

GF Says He’s Really Suge Knife

Posted by mattymoe on August 27, 2008

Suge Knight has been busted again, this time for allegedly terrorizing and attacking his girlfriend.

The former rap impresario was busted by Las Vegas cops for assault with a deadly weapon, possession of controlled substances and domestic violence.

Law enforcement tells us Suge allegedly attacked his girlfriend of three years early this morning. She claims he punched her in the back of the head while they were driving. She claims she tried getting out of the car, grabbed the steering wheel to cause an accident so someone would notice her peril.

The car struck the curb and stopped. She fled from the car and allegedly Suge chased her, caught her and that’s when the cops came.

Cops say they saw Suge kick the woman in the head and was wielding a knife in his hand.

Obama Assassination Attempt Foiled

Posted by mattymoe on August 26, 2008

There sure are some crazies out there!

Currently, the FBI is investigating claims of an alleged assassination plot against Presidential hopeful Barack Obama.

Four people were arrested near the Democratic convention in Denver. They were in possession of high-powered rifles.

Nathan Johnson (pictured above on the right), is denying any involvement in the plot, but he did admit that his friends “were here to do that – to assassinate him.”

Apparently, the plan was to shoot Obama “from a high vantage point … with a … rifle.”

This all came about on Sunday, when police arrested 28 year-old Tharin Gartrell (above left), who was erratically driving a rented pickup truck.

That’s where they found two high-powered rifles with telescopic sites. They also found walkie-talkies in his truck, along with camouflage clothing, a bulletproof vest, two wigs, a high-powered spotting scope, three IDs with unknown identities, and methamphetamine.

When Gartrell was accompanied to his hotel in Denver by the police, a second man, 33 year-old Shawn Robert Adolf, jumped out from a window and injured himself. He jumped from six-stories high.

Adolf broke his ankle after the fall, but was arrested shortly afterwards. He also had several outstanding warrants against him. And according to sources, he was also wearing a ring with a swastika on it and is believed to have connections to white supremacist organizations.

Johnson added that Gartell and Adolf “planned to kill Barack Obama at his acceptance speech.” He said that his friends told him, Barack “don’t belong in political office – or blacks don’t belong in political office. He gotta be shot.”

As for the fourth person arrested, it’s an unidentified woman who was with Johnson though she is not believed to have any involvement with the plot, however other arrests are still a possibility.

US Attorney Troy Eid insisted that there was no clear danger to the candidates or convention delegates.

Eid said in a recent statement, “Federal law enforcement is working hand-in-glove with the Aurora Police Department. Because this matter is currently under investigation, there is little we can say right now. We can say this: We’re absolutely confident there is no credible threat to the candidate, the Democratic National Convention, or the people of Colorado.”

And if Obama isn’t doing so yet, we highly suggest he wear a bulletproof vest. And wear it all the time.

John Edwards BEGGING for Forgiveness

Posted by mattymoe on August 26, 2008

Too little, too late, John Edwards!

Adulterer and Liar Johnny has been calling ex-staffers and supporters, asking for forgiveness. But the only thing he’s apparently getting back are cold shoulders and heaping piles of shiz thrown his way!

According to the NY Daily News, some ignore phone outreach efforts and don’t call back – even when Edwards leaves follow-up messages.

A few supposedly return his calls only to give him a piece of their angry minds.

When Edwards reportedly reached one longtime confidant asking for advice, he was cut off with a terse, “I don’t want you to call me again.”

Looks like someone’s getting what they deserve!
