It’s just that hard to play for the Atlanta Falcons these days…
NFL superstar and former Super Bowl champion Lawyer Milloy was popped early this morning in Georgia for DUI and speeding, according to the Gwinnett County Sheriff. The 34-year-old was booked in the county jail at 4:30 AM and his bond was set at $1,601.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, 129,000 gallons of water goes down the drain on Tiger’s Florida estate every month. Average water usage is 10,000 gallons a month.
The home is on Jupiter Island near Palm Beach, considered the wealthiest community in the country. Several of his fellow Floridians also spurt like mothas. NBA star Grant Hill used 263,000 gallons in May. The Magic’s Dwight Howard’s estate soaked up 189,000 gallons in July alone.
According to records, Woods is near the top of the 25 biggest guzzlers in Orange County, Florida. Number 25 on the list averages 84,000 gallons a month.
Note to Tiger — Central Florida is in a water crisis.
Tom Brady was just helped off the field by two Patriots personnel members after injuring his left knee. Paging Nurse Bundchen!
Kansas City Chiefs safety Bernard Pollard laid Tom out during the first quarter of their first regular season game — and Brady is currently getting x-rays on his left knee. Brady’s right foot was the injury that kept him out of all of their preseason games.
Backup quarterback Matt Cassel has taken his place on the field — no word on whether Matt’s dating Gisele yet. As you can see in the photo — legs aren’t supposed to bend that way.
UPDATE: Even without their golden boy — the Patriots won 17-10. Story developing …
Jacksonville Jaguars tackle Richard Collier is fighting for his life after being shot several times early this morning.
Collier was waiting outside an apartment building when a gunman shot into the car he was in. A Sheriff’s rep says the six-foot-seven, 300-plus-pound Collier was shot several times but it’s not clear where he was injured. He was taken to a local hospital where his injuries have been described as “life-threatening.”
The motive for the attack hasn’t been determined, and an investigation is ongoing.
Sharri Henry (far left) claims NFL star Dennis Northcutt (right) had his cousin beat her up after an NFL party they both attended back in May — allegedly because Henry wouldn’t get an abortion (Northcutt is the probable baby daddy).
Now check out the pic on the left of Henry just moments before she was allegedly brutalized. The pic on the right was taken at the same party, also just before the attack. It shows Northcutt with his extremely hot new GF at the time. Some people who were at the party tell us when Henry saw her ex with the new chick, she went after him with all the ferocity of a scorned woman.
Henry is now seven months pregnant. She’s suing Northcutt over the attack.
Charles Barkley wants to come out of retirement. Sorta.
The former basketball star is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Barkley was one of the dozens of celebrities this week at the Democratic National Convention. There, he spoke of his hopes of becoming more involved in politics and even running for governor.
The 45 year-old Alabama native said, “I’m planning to run for governor of Alabama. I have to live there for seven years. I bought my house there last year. I have homes in Arizona and Pennsylvania, but Alabama needs more help.”
The boys of the New Zealand soccer team don’t get down on themselves when they lose, they just get down!
After losing to Belgium in the first round of the Olympics 0-1, the Oly-Whites (as they’re called back home) broke out the Haka — a traditional Maori war dance teams from NZ usually perform before a match to scare the holy hell out of the other team.
No word on why they decided to bust a move after the loss, but as long as that guy keeps his shirt off — who really cares?!
